A lot of the time, we're putting others commitments of us first, because they are counting on us, rely on us, pay us and therefore we put them at a high priority. Higher than ourselves.

Today Anna would be 40... I'm still reading books

Today Anna would be 40... I'm still reading books aloud, these many moons later, to different listeners, and I imagine she's sitting along, listening as well, following along to find out what happens - maybe she already knows.

This week, SVH had come up in a retro feed of memories and all it ever does is remind me of these moments (so many good ones!)

We are lucky, every single one, if you are reading this and you are well. Heck, if you're reading this and are unwell. Many of us that I know are turning 40 this year, and maybe it's come with nostalgia and sadness - but luck and gratitude should always sneak in.

Our age is not guaranteed.
There are no supposed-tos.
We have today and this minute and that's about all that's guaranteed.

Breathe in two, three, four....and out.
Someone's standing beside you, even if you're alone.

You are loved. 💕
