T W O // Our sunshine girl is two … where have these two years gone? To learning! To daycare! To jumping on beds! To climbing EVERYTHING! To communicating! To energy!

Brian asked me what my favourite thing about Anneliese is and after careful pondering, it’s the way she watches someone do something once, and then tries to do it herself - often succeeding - and refuses help while she learns (something I always wonder if it’ll hinder her in life - refusing to ask for help!!) and her face while she does it. Concentrated. Thinking. Determination.

“I’ve got this,” I imagine her saying to herself.

S O C I A L S H A R I N G // Let’s face it - a lot of us get most of our news information from social media. Whether we want to admit it or not, not a lot of us rely on mainstream news as the complete and only source of stuff happening in the world.

For many of us, especially in business, using social media to educate our audience, promote our services or just share a bit about who we are and what we believe in - we can often forget that even with a lack of “viral engagement” people are watching.

When the world or community I live in gets incensed about something happening in the world - “viral posts” happen and awareness is spread, but with this awareness - I personally believe that credits + sources should be focused on by the sharer. People are learning from you - and while you’re learning from others, your following should be aware of that.

How do you do this? See below for a few tips

1 - When you see a post featured in a story - click on the post and the original caption, even if the share-er has explained or given their opinion

2 - Do you love what you learned? You can tell the share-r, and if you want to share the knowledge - share the original post, too.

3 - If you’re creating your own feed post about the new information you’ve learned - make sure you get permission from the original poster (if it’s a personal share) and make sure you’re tagging them (you can do this IN the photo and through the caption). Do not rely on their name in the image as a suitable credit. This is hard to read and follow.

4 - Allow yourself the space to learn. We won’t get it right all the time, but when we learn, we grow. You’ve got this.
